Meet Nietra Hood

Nietra E. Hood is a certified Hair Loss Expert who founded NEH Hair Loss Care in Muskegon, Western Michigan. She's been in the hair care and beauty industry for over 30 years, graduating from Daniels Hairstyling Academy in 1992. Nietra is not just a seasoned stylist, but also an instructor at a hair care clinic and operator of an Apprenticeship program.

Specializing exclusively in hair loss and various scalp treatments, Nietra's expertise lies in identifying the underlying causes of hair loss, thinning, and scalp disorders. She employs holistic treatments to address these issues effectively.

In addition to her hair loss clinic, Nietra is also the founder and owner of Beauty in the Making since 2002. In 2022, she transformed Beauty in the Making into a full-service salon. Their approach goes beyond styling; they prioritize educating clients about their hair, empowering them with the knowledge to better care for their hair at home.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Nietra enjoys a fulfilling personal life with her husband, Eric L. Hood Sr., of 27 years. Together, they are active members of their community, enjoy traveling, cherish date movie nights, and are blessed with four children, all of whom are college graduates. They are also proud grandparents to six precious grandchildren, attributing all their blessings to the glory of God.
